Our five-stage solution

Trend Network Anti-Spam (stage 1)

As the first line of defence, we deploy Trend Micro™ Network Reputation Services, which stop up to 80% of spam at its source. To block spam, the IP address of incoming mail is verified by Trend Micro’s database – which is the largest and most trusted in the world.

Real-time spam blocking identifies new sources of spam, as soon as they begin spamming.

Comprehensive security for the messaging gateway (stage 2)

Our second line of defence is the Trend InterScan™ Messaging Security Suite. This combines leading anti-virus security and content filtering for message compliance.

We have created a coordinated policy for automate updates and control message compliance, providing an even more effective defence.

Spam Quarantine filter (stage 3)

Our Spam Quarantine filter displays the sender, message subject, and date received for all of your spam.

From this filter, you can do any of the following on screen:

• read the messages
• delete the messages
• resend the messages
• access the approved senders list
• manage the approved senders list

 

Anti-virus engines (stage 4)

You get maximum protection because multiple anti-virus engines (updatable software components) scan all e-mails.

Computer Associates Vet Anti Virus

Norman Virus Control (NVC) – a collection of anti-virus software specifically designed to protect workstations, servers and gateways against malicious software

Sophos Anti Virus – protects every tier in the IT infrastructure from viruses and spam

NAI Anti Virus

CA Inoculate IT Anti Virus

Anti-Worm engine

We monitor the market for the latest developments and we update our defences when necessary, adding new software to our list.

Microsoft Intelligent Message Filter (stage 5)

Our solution benefits from the integrated Intelligent Message Filter that is based on patented machine learning technology from Microsoft Research. During its development, Intelligent Message Filter learned distinguishing characteristics of legitimate e-mail messages and unsolicited commercial e-mail (UCE).

It is one of the most accurate ways of filtering out unsolicited mail.

Outbound Mail

Before release, we process all outbound e-mails to ensure that they do not contain any viruses using Sybari Antigen.

We can run further checks to add disclaimers or other bespoke actions for each of our customers, or even each user.
